Today we learnt how to connect tables in databases by using queries. We now understand the concept of relating the patient information records to visitation records in an entity relation diagram.
What's left:
Me:
1.Storyboard ppt
2. Gant chart excel
3. Upload the photos of board jpeg
Ada:
1.Website wire frame research ppt
2.Put SAMPLEdatabase into portfolio
and then we finished our research and planning!

DataBase Trial and Error
Even though we had out Half Term holidays, our client wanted to have the database trialed and tested as soon as possible so we started some tutorial.
After following our client's advice, (he recommended us to use the local libraries for useful information), and after I researched it, I've found it was pretty straight forward. We followed a couple of tutorials online and produced samples for:
We created 4 databases for:
1. Customer information; with their file number, personal information (DOB, name, gender and etc), their address, medical history and more.
2. Finances; to help the nurses keep a record of how many patients came and how much they spent.
3. Sick note; to help the Doctor in writing these notes, making it easier for him to do so by allowing database to generate it for him.
4. Referral letters; the same principle as above but this is to refer patients to specialists when needed.
We had some difficulties with the databases such as no being able to create an either female or male option due to the limit of "Open Office Database Software" which our client specified us to use being he uses it at his office, however we improvised with a separate tick box for female and male. But overall we've created the main features successfully and is now waiting for our client's response and feedback.
Ada and I have finished photoshop tutorials, to try and help our skills in making the leaflet. We use a great site www.photoshopstar.com
Ada has collaborated all the emails that we had with our client into one document, the brief copyright exercise that we had to have completed and did a project planner on a week-by-week basis and completed our mind-map.

And Back
Currently making the Location video and writing script and editing photos on imovie now. We plan to include light rail map and bus station maps as well as self taken photographs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's what we did last week:
We've decide to split the workload:
Ada: MindMap and making a free website.
Me: Survey and research on current private clinic websites and qualities people look for in them
I searched up some websites of private clincs and investigated which ones worked effectively, some excellent sites we found based on page layout are Private Clinic and Hillsbourough /treatment.aspx?dataid=128963 some poor ones were Istenhegyi clinc
We decided that The Private Clinic had a clean and clear presentation and aqua colour. It had lots of quotes and articles on its home page along with comments and praise from patients. It presented clear and simple photos of attractive nurses and patients. We like the professional font sometimes bold or hightlighted to draw attention. As well as icons for subheadings and animation to create interest.
I also Create surveymonkey account: Tiiifany, to gather information on patients and client's needs.Questions will be:
~Which age group are you? 10-19,20-29,etc
~Which exercise do you think is most beneficial to health?
~What is your health worry?
~How would you find a doctor? -internet, - referals etc
~What would you expect to be included on the website? ~Doctor's advice, ~patinets comments etc
~Which matters most? ~experience, ~qualifications, ~distance to clinic etc
We plan to Start Practicing Tutorials beginning at October.
